Forklift Operator

Forklift Operator Responsibilities:

  • Exercise good safety practices to prevent accidents to self, others and facilities, and report unsafe conditions to the Production Coordinator
  • Receive, transport and store materials following established methods and procedures for unloading trailer and use of the computer system
  • Stock Production with components and materials following established methods and procedures
  • Check for correct identity, quantity and appearance of materials, components, supplies and products
  • Prepare complete and accurate records as required
  • Assist line workers when necessary

Requirements for Forklift Operator:

  • Ability to stand, reach, climb, balance, walk, sit, etc. for entirety of shift
  • Lift up to 50 pounds or exert up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Ability to use computer or scale as needed
  • Ability to operate forklift safely and obtain certification upon hire
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Some warehouse experience a plus
  • Basic computers skills and math skills
  • Ability to read, write, and speak basic English
