Machine Operator - Paper Machine

About the Role
Essity is looking for an experienced Paper Machine Operator. The Paper Machine Operator will support the Winding/Slitting/Finishing end of a large Paper Machine process as part of a team of four or five operators. Once trained, you will fill in 4th-hand positions and 3rd-hand positions during vacations, absences, etc. and will assist with other mill support tasks.

What You'll Do
  • Contribute toward a positive safety culture.
  • Work within Essity safety standards to support the efficient operation of the rewinder/slitting end of the Tissue manufacturing process.
  • Operate the process and perform routine maintenance, housekeeping, and resupply of materials necessary for roll preparation and shipping.
  • Deliver finished rolls of paper to awaiting trailers, load trailers, and enter necessary roll weight data into integrated materials management system.
  • Support Essity Continuous Improvement Systems.
  • Consult with Team Leader or skilled operators if required.
  • Order and prepare raw materials / or products for palletizing and installing them on the machine according to standard operating procedures.
  • Communicate with previous and next shift as well as with other operators.
  • Maintain housekeeping to established standards.
  • Produce paper that meets specifications and customer demands.
  • Complete all required documentation.

Who You Are
  • High School Diploma or GED (proof required)
  • Eight-hour southern swing shift is required.

Compensation and Benefits:
Expected Compensation
$31.76/hourly rate + benefits with potential to earn up to $45.43 per hour.
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors such as knowledge, skills, and experience.
