Position Overview:
The Assistant Machine Operator role entails assisting in operating a production line, packaging, and/or ingredient blending equipment. The Assistant Machine Operator is responsible for assisting the Machine Operator in ensuring efficient and safe machine operation, producing high quality product and finish product packaging, inspecting equipment and performing preventative maintenance; completing paperwork and data entry; assisting in packaging area and cross-training on other machine operation duties; coordinating production scheduling or BOM changes; keeping production area clean and orderly, and assisting in providing training or direction to other production line employees. The Assistant Machine Operator may also act as a Machine Operator from time to time.
Responsibilities:
• Cross trained on machine operating.
• Complete paperwork and data entry.
• Inspecting equipment.
• Perform basic general machine maintenance.
• Keep production area clean and orderly.
• Packaging product.
• Palletizing finished goods.
• Cleaning equipment, either wet or dry processes.
• Visually inspect product and packaging.
• Move material and supplies to and from production area.
• Ensure accurate counts.
• Add materials to manufacturing equipment.
• Sorting and performing rework.
• Drive forklift to support business operations, as needed.
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years food processing or packaging, food production and/or machine operating experience preferred.
  • Understanding of food safety, workplace safety, and food quality standards is strongly preferred.
  • The ability to read, write, speak and understand English is required.
  • Self-directed and personally motivated.
  • Have a strong attention to detail.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment while focusing on meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  • Able to lift and move boxes or bags weighing up to 50-75lbs.
  • Able stand for up to 12 hours per shift.
  • Able to communicate and work well with others.
  • Able to contribute to a positive work environment by being a team player.
  • Good attendance and performance track record.
  • Able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Hours and Pay:
Positions are available at our Little Chute, Wisconsin production facility. Hours are on a 2-2-3 schedule 5:45am-6:00pm. We offer a competitive base pay rate and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees.
