Job description

The Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center (1A facility) is actively seeking a full-time Geriatric physician to join our team in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. This is your opportunity to answer a calling-one rooted in gratitude, service, and the deep responsibility of caring for those who once stood in defense of our nation.

Enjoy work life/balance, the opportunity to teach residents and great federal benefits- all in the heart of Indianapolis, Indiana. The selected candidate will be considered for a faculty appointment at the Indiana University School of Medicine.

Highlights:

  • Outpatient Geriatric consultation

  • Typical shift M-F, 8:00am-4:30pm, no call!

  • Quality focused-average new consults 1-2 per clinic and 3-4 follow-up patients per half day of clinic.

  • Primarily Indianapolis location; approximately one day per week will be at a different outpatient location (Lafayette, Edinburgh, Brownsburg, Bloomington or Terre Haute)

  • Opportunities for faculty appointment and to teach residents/fellows

  • Up to $200K in loan repayment opportunity available

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree

  • BE/BC in Geriatrics

  • Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or District of Columbia.
