Summary:
Must be seasoned professional. Will be responsible for working with other programming analysts to lead the direction of our Enterprise technical architecture. Strong technical worker to help set the direction of our technology platform in an industry-leading organization experiencing rapid growth.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assisting the Development Manager with all aspects of software design, data management, and programming.
  • Attending and contributing to development conference calls with staff.
  • Learning the codebase and improving your skillset.
  • Writing and maintaining code, and data structures.
  • Working on bug fixes.
  • Monitoring the technical performance of internal systems.
  • Responding to requests and issues with internal software from our staff.
  • Data investigation and ad hoc reports.
  • Responsible for software testing.
  • Assisting staff with basic IT issues.
  • See projects through their full application lifecycle ( Discuss, Plan, Develop, Test, Deploy, Train, Maintain )
  • Repository management for development and staging branches
  • Assisting in production server maintenance & database management

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with PHP, C#, HTML5, and JavaScript, and SQL, and Windows
  • Basic programming experience.
  • Basic experience with Git
  • General IT & Networking skills
  • Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to ask questions and follow instructions.

Qualifications Preferred:
  • Development background in the insurance industry
  • Technical documentation generation
  • Familiar with Laravel or similar PHP frameworks

Skills:
  • Experience in all aspects of systems analysis, general systems design and detail system design
  • Self-motivated and resourceful with the ability to find solutions on your own
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Supervision:
  • Minimal

Work Environment:
  • Normal Office 8-5 M-F
  • Must be able to work in office full time.
