Granite PolisherTemp-to-Hire; after the probation period and hired on with the company, there could be a possibility of pay increase$18/HourlyFull-Time, 40/hrs + Available OT1st shift 7 am to 4 pmMonday - FridayHealth, Dental, and VisionYou will receive: Uniforms and Proper PPERoom for growth, with personal training to improve knowledge in fabrication and machine operations.As part of our fabrication line, a Granite Polisher will gain product knowledge and train with team members to progress with machine operations.Polish material/parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand and power toolsVerify the quality of finished workpieces by inspecting, comparing to templates, measuring dimensions, and marking any defects for possible reworkTeamwork; helping coworkers in other stations if neededMaintain a clean stationResponsible for wearing all personal protective equipment (safety glasses, earplugs, waterproof gear, face mask, etc.)Experience desired as a Granite PolisherFabricating Marble, Granite, and QuartzConstruction, Industrial, and Manufacturing fields, fabricationPolishing, grinding finish materials such as (glass, iron, steel, natural stone, etc.)Machine operations ( Forklift, overhead crane, boom lift)Knowledge and skills required to be a successful Granite PolisherBasic math skills (adding and subtracting measurements)Basic mechanical knowledge (hand tools/power tools)Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbsSafety awarenessThis job requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification (Form I-9) upon hire.
