About our Team
ISC is a leading event brand for the security industry, with a strong foundation in physical security, public safety, access control, video surveillance, alarms, smart buildings, and related technologies. As the industry evolves, physical security, cybersecurity, digital identity, and connected technologies are increasingly converging.
About the Role
The ISC Event Manager will help define, build, and grow the Cybersecurity and Digital Identity segments within ISC.
This person will identify and build relationships with key companies, partners, associations, influencers, communities, and industry stakeholders. They will engage prospective exhibitors and sponsors, educate them on the event opportunity, and partner with sales to move qualified opportunities through the funnel.
Responsibilities
  • Help evolve and execute the growth strategy for Cybersecurity and Digital Identity, with clear positioning, value propositions, and paths to revenue growth.

  • Research the cybersecurity and digital identity markets to identify priority companies, emerging categories, associations, partners, influencers, communities, and stakeholders.

  • Build relationships with key companies, associations, industry groups, sponsors, thought leaders, and partners in both ecosystems.

  • Identify priority exhibitor and sponsor prospects, establish relationships, communicate the event opportunity, and support sales funnel progression.

  • Partner with sales leadership and team members drive participation

  • Track industry trends, market drivers, emerging technologies, buyer needs, competitive events, and participation barriers.

  • Serve as an internal resource, translating market needs into actionable guidance for sales, marketing, content, operations, and leadership.

  • Partner with marketing to define target audiences, audience sourcing, messaging, value propositions, and promotional channels.

  • Collaborate with content and programming teams on relevant topics, speakers, partners, events, demonstrations, activations, and experiences.

  • Support sponsorship concepts, partnership opportunities, and revenue-generating ideas for Cybersecurity and Digital Identity.

  • Monitor performance against strategic and financial goals, providing regular updates, insights, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.

  • Represent ISC at relevant industry events, conferences, networking opportunities, and other market-building activities.

Requirements
  • Have business development, market development, partnership development, or related commercial experience.

  • Demonstrate proven ability to identify growth opportunities, build relationships, develop prospects, and advance revenue-generating opportunities.

  • Having prior experience in cybersecurity, digital identity, technology, security, or related markets is helpful.

  • Ability to quickly learn complex markets, synthesize information, identify key players, and become a credible internal resource.

  • Demonstrate excellent research skills. Be able to understand market trends, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities.

  • Have experience working cross functionally to drive plans forward.

  • Demonstrate ability to contribute to business plans, marketing plans, budgets, revenue strategies, and segment growth plans.

  • Have highly developed influencing skills, using data-driven insights to advance innovative strategies and secure stakeholder buy-in

  • Have proven relationship-building skills and comfort engaging senior-level external contacts, prospects, partners, and stakeholders.

  • Be able to travel to ISC events, and other business development opportunities as needed.
