Staff Accountant

Location: Downtown Austin, TX (in-office)

Reports to: Senior Accounting Manager

ABOUT CLEAN CAUSE

CLEAN Cause is different from the rest of the energy category in its product and personality. It’s the energy drink made for real life. Whether you're starting your day or pushing through the afternoon, its clean ingredients give you a continuous boost without the crash or jitters.

CLEAN Cause’s beverages are made with a handful of real, organic ingredients and none of the artificial stuff you'll find in most energy drinks. Instead, we use Yerba Mate as a healthier source of caffeine, paired with organic flavors for a crisp, refreshing taste and with less sugar than most teas.

And the good doesn't stop at what's in the can. Since day one, every can sold has supported people in addiction recovery. Real people, real impact.ROLE OVERVIEW

We’re looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. Reporting directly to the Senior Accounting Manager, this role is responsible for key day-to-day accounting activities and will play an important role in maintaining accurate, timely financial records.

Our accounting team is lean, so we’re looking for someone who takes ownership, enjoys solving problems, and is comfortable digging into a discrepancy until they understand exactly what happened and how to fix it.

  • Support the Senior Accounting Manager in completing an accurate and timely monthly close
  • Ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in the appropriate accounting period
  • Assist with audit, tax, and other year-end requirements
Accounts Payable amp; Accounts Receivable
  • Manage assigned AP and AR responsibilities
  • Review invoices for appropriate coding, documentation, and approvals

Revenue amp; Cash Reconciliation
  • Reconcile revenue and payments across multiple sales channels
  • Complete bank, credit card, merchant processor, and cash reconciliations
  • Reconcile transactions between sales platforms, payment processors, and the general ledger
  • Research discrepancies involving orders, invoices, payments, fees, refunds, discounts, and deposits
  • Work with internal teams to resolve discrepancies between accounting and operational systems
Inventory amp; COGS
  • Perform inventory accounting and monthly reconciliations
  • Support COGS calculations and related month-end entries
  • Reconcile inventory activity between the ERP and operational records
  • Investigate inventory and cost variances
  • Support physical inventory counts and related reconciliations
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure inventory transactions and costs are accurately captured
