The Shelby County Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our dynamic team. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Shelby County Counseling Center, you will:

• Conduct thorough assessments and foster effective treatment planning tailored to each individual's needs, including developing pre-crisis and crisis intervention plans.
• Complete necessary documentation promptly and in accordance with all regulatory standards to ensure compliance and quality care.
• Implement evidence-based screening tools as directed by the clinical team to determine appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to create and execute supportive positive behavior plans that align with individual client goals.
• Engage actively in all licensing and accreditation processes, maintaining high standards of practice.
• Act as a liaison among service agencies, state organizations, and community partners to secure vital resources for our clients.
• Maintain open lines of communication with stakeholders to uphold contract standards and promote the mission of Shelby County Counseling Center.
• Network with local, state, federal, and private organizations to bolster program visibility and create new partnerships.
• Pursue continuous personal and professional development opportunities through workshops, conferences, and committee participation.
• Embody and promote the values and principles of the agency in all aspects of your role.
• Perform other relevant duties assigned by the Clinic Director to support organizational goals.

We serve a diverse client population, including individuals navigating emotional health challenges, those recovering from substance use disorders, and persons managing developmental disabilities and acquired brain injuries. The following qualifications are required to fulfill the LMHC role successfully:

• A Master’s Degree in the mental health field.
• An independent LMHC license valid in the state of Massachusetts; support will be provided for counselors from other states seeking licensure.
