Job Summary:


Our Las Vegas branch has an opportunity for a customer-focused Field Service Technician with an audio-visual and/or LED tile video wall background. Your primary responsibility is delivering top-notch customer service in tradeshow, corporate meeting, and live-event environments while you pull, prep, configure, stage, deliver, set up, operate, and strike SmartSource rental technology. You support audio-visual systems and LED tile video walls on site and troubleshoot in real time. Basic computer and networking proficiency is expected.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Pull, prep, configure, and stage audio-visual and LED tile wall equipment to client order specifications.
  • QC inbound AV and LED tile equipment before it returns to available stock.
  • Transport, set up, and operate audio and video equipment (microphones, speakers, mixing consoles, effects racks, video screens, projectors, video switchers, cameras, and recording gear) for meetings, presentations, and indoor and outdoor events.
  • Assemble, program, support, and strike LED tile video walls and seamless video walls on site.
  • Transport, install, configure, service, and troubleshoot computers, software, and related peripherals on site.
  • Deliver top-notch customer service, interacting directly with clients and resolving issues professionally on the show floor.
  • Provide on-site leadership to support crews as needed.
  • Report damages, shortages, or defects promptly and accurately.
  • Travel to client and event sites, including occasional remote or overnight travel.


Requirements:

  • 3+ years of industry experience in audio-visual and/or LED tile video wall support, preferably in live corporate events (breakout rooms, general sessions, and tradeshow booths).
  • Proficient setting up AV components and/or LED tile walls, and able to troubleshoot and correct operational glitches under event pressure.
  • LED tile wall experience (setup, QC, programming, and operation) and/or strong AV field experience.
  • Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting computer-related hardware, with basic wired and wireless networking.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with a can-do attitude and a professional presence in front of clients.
  • Ability to lead and manage an on-site team of technicians.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain extreme attention to detail in high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends, and to travel, including occasional overnight travel, as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record; able to operate company vehicles and load/unload AV, LED, and computer gear.
