Job description

Job Summary:

The Imports Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the Entry Team, ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and internal company procedures. This position is responsible for coordinating import documentation, supervising team performance, and maintaining timely and accurate entry processing to support smooth customs clearance and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:

·        Supervise the Entry Team’s daily activities to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

·        Schedule and manage team shifts based on workload and operational priorities.

·        Conduct Section 232 reviews and assist with implementation, in collaboration with the Manager and President.

·        Review entry dates and release dates to ensure timely customs processing.

·        Verify duties shown on customs statements for accuracy.

·        Upload entry packets to Customs upon request, ensuring all required documentation is complete.

·        Assist customers with questions or concerns related to import entries and provide timely, professional support.

·        Track and manage import documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading (B/L), and customs entries.

·        Assist with operational reporting and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure team and process efficiency.

·        Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable customs regulations.

·        Collaborate with internal departments to resolve import-related discrepancies or delays.

·        Maintain accurate records and support audits or reviews as needed.

Qualifications:

·        High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification in International Business, Logistics, or Customs Compliance is a plus.

·        Minimum 2–3 years of experience in customs or import operations; prior supervisory experience preferred.

·        Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, import documentation, and compliance requirements.

·        Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and customs-related software.
·        Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

·        Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
