Pay Range: $48,000 - $55,000

YOUR ROLE


As part of a shared service center that serves multiple branches, the Customs Entry Specialist processes Customs Entries in a timely manner and with accuracy.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
 

  • Receives import files to clear through Customs
  • Ensure import clearance files are compliant with US Customs regulations
  • Resolve and Communicate clearance issues with internal team members and with customers
  • Prioritize shipments based on ETA or other factors
  • Process customs bonds as needed
  • Process steel licenses as needed
  • Communicate entry release
  • Ensure each file is invoiced correctly
  • Help identify areas that need improvement
  • Assist with new customer implementation
  • Stays up to date with current regulations with US Customs

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Education and Experience:

  • 2-5 years of processing customs entries
  • CHB License is a plus

Skills:  

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
  • Extensive excel experience with Adobe PDF knowledge is a plus
  • Fluent in English, both written and oral

Characteristics:

  • Ability to learn all aspects of the team's work, and to provide cover and assistance on a regular basis.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Self-starter, sense of urgency, communication.
  • Customer focused.
