As a Senior Global Trade Analyst, you will support international business opportunities in concert with internal objectives. Work products and interactions will be at multiple levels, from your program office, Procurement, Contacts, and Business Development. BAE Systems also provides employees with opportunities to engage with and positively influence the internal and external community in which we work.
This is a hybrid position with some in-office presence in any of the following locations: Endicott, NY or Fort Wayne, IN. To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must either reside in one of these locations currently, or be willing to relocate to one of these areas for this role. Relocation assistance is available.
The selected candidate will be a part of the Global Trade team supporting and executing the export licenses and agreements of international activities in concert with company policies and customer requirements. The candidate will interpret and communicate export/import regulations and strategies to the program team and management. Position requires knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and U.S. Customs laws and regulations. The individual will be responsible for administration of ITAR and EAR licenses and agreements, exemptions, and exceptions. Coordinate exports and imports in accordance with BAE Systems policy and U.S. Government export regulations and laws.
  • Coordinates with program personnel to obtain export/import application information, reviews provisos/riders on licenses and agreements to ensure business and customer requirements can be met by the license or agreement. Continued license and agreement management. Ensure that positive provisos/riders are addressed.
  • Participates in the investigation of any aspect of proposed export or temporary export by the Company to verify the legality of any transactions and the accuracy of the information to be submitted.
  • Participates in the development and presentation of export related training materials.
  • Maintains export and import related record keeping functions for the Company as required by law.
  • Approves foreign travel and foreign visitors.
  • Participates in conducting internal compliance audits on a periodic basis.
  • Applicant must be detail oriented, have good writing skills, and have good organization and communication skills.
  • Position to include travel to various export conferences and required training.

Required Skills and Education
  • Associate's degree with 6+ years of experience, Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of professional experience, or Master's degree with 2+ years of professional experience.
  • Experience with export trade licensing & compliance, and import.
  • Individual must have knowledge of the current Department of State International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Department of Commerce Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and/or U.S. Import or Customs Regulations.

Preferred Skills and Education
  • Expertise in U.S. customs law, tariffs, import/export regulations, and compliance frameworks, including an understanding of the United States Munitions List (USML), Commerce Control List (CCL), and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)
  • U.S. Customs Broker License
  • Experience with OCR's EASE global trade management software.
  • Experience with Electronic Export Information (EEI), through the U.S. government's Automated Export System (AES), primarily via the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE)
