Job description

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced International Logistics Coordinator to join our Purchasing and Logistics team in Davie, FL. This role is responsible for coordinating and optimizing international shipments and material flow from our production facilities in China and Mexico to support delivery performance, inventory availability, and total landed cost objectives.


The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in international transportation, cross-border logistics, shipment documentation, and vendor coordination. This person will work closely with internal teams, freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and suppliers to improve cost, service, compliance, and overall supply chain efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate international shipments and material flow from production facilities in China and Mexico.
  • Analyze transportation routes, shipment modes, and logistics flows to improve cost, efficiency, and service.
  • Coordinate cross-border shipments with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely clearance and delivery.
  • Support import/export compliance by preparing, reviewing, and maintaining shipping and customs documentation.
  • Investigate, reconcile, and resolve freight billing discrepancies.
  • Collect and analyze logistics data to support reporting, issue resolution, and process improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with logistics service providers and support operational issue resolution.
  • Develop and improve procedures for the movement of materials and finished goods to warehouses or final customer locations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5–7 years of experience in international logistics, import/export operations, and cross-border transportation.
  • Experience working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and shipping documentation.
  • Working knowledge of Incoterms and import/export documentation requirements.
  • SAP ERP experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
