Controller - CFO

$175,000 - 225,000 DOE

Piscataway, NJ

Privately held mid-sized industrial import and distribution company with operations in the US and Internationally is seeking a financial leader that can partner with ownership and the senior management team and that values tradition and family values while creating a culture that embraces growth, teamwork, professionalism, and innovation.

Qualified candidates will have:

· A bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA, master's or additional professional qualifications desired

· 10-20 years of progressive accounting experience; ideal background includes public accounting
training and private industry experience in a similar size company (small to mid-sized) and industry (manufacturing, distribution, import related operations). All public accounting and all private industry backgrounds will be considered

· Experience managing and overseeing a company's accounting, finance, and office operations -including Human Resources

· Supervisory experience

· Excellent interpersonal/people skills with a fair, professional, diplomatic, and positive approach

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Ability and desire to be hands-on and strategic

*Must have strong computer skills, excellent Excel capabilities and experience working on an integrated ERP system.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

· Monthly accounting close and preparation of financial statements, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements

· Oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivables, imports, billing, and collections

· Maintain strong relations with customers and resolve collections issues

· Cash management, bank reconciliation, banking relations and working capital optimization

· Inventory control, cost accounting, sales analysis, and pricing analysis

· Provide analysis of operational performance and KPI's; work to improve processes, controls, and reporting systems

· Ad-hoc projects, financial analysis, and forecasting

· Coordinate audit and tax filings with outside accountants

· Work with ownership and senior leadership team on growth initiatives, strategic initiatives and
long-term planning

· Payroll preparation and benefits administration

· Ensure company policies and procedures are complied with

· Support teams with talent recruitment, performance and development
