Job Summary:

As an Import Export Associate, you will be responsible for coordinating the transportation of goods both domestically and overseas. Your duties will include:

  • Planning and directing the flow of air and surface traffic to overseas destinations
  • Receiving and shipping freight, assessing charges, and collecting fees for shipments
  • Negotiating with domestic customers on behalf of foreign customers to resolve problems and arrive at mutual agreements
  • Negotiating reciprocal freight handling agreements with foreign shipping interests
  • Examining invoices and shipping manifests for compliance with customs regulations
  • Contacting customs officials to effect release of incoming freight and resolve customs delays
  • Preparing reports of transactions to facilitate billing of shippers and foreign carriers

Duties/Responsibilities:
