Ocean Import Senior Associate

Location: Irving, TX

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Ocean Import Senior Associate to join our logistics team in Irving, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ocean import operations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage complex shipments efficiently. This role is critical in ensuring smooth import processes and maintaining strong relationships with carriers, vendors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate ocean import shipments from origin to destination, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Prepare and review import documentation including bills of lading, customs paperwork, and commercial invoices.
  • Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and vendors to resolve shipment issues and delays.
  • Track shipments and provide status updates to internal teams and customers.
  • Ensure compliance with all import regulations and company policies.
  • Assist in the resolution of claims related to damaged or lost cargo.
  • Collaborate with customs brokers to facilitate smooth customs clearance processes.
