Must have Skill Set:
  • Minimum of 10+ years of relevant project management experience in the construction industry.
  • Experience directing engineering, permitting, construction, and commissioning of gas insulated substations and high/medium-voltage networks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Must meet company driving requirements.
Overview:The Construction Project Manager will manage, direct, and coordinate all aspects of the work related to the engineering, permitting, construction, and commissioning of gas insulated substations, including connection to underground high-voltage and medium-voltage networks. Reporting directly to the Lead Project Manager, this role is responsible for cost management, schedule management, and construction coordination. The successful candidate will ensure project completion within the specified date while establishing and maintaining professional relationships with the Owner, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and other project stakeholders.

Job Duties: * Provide overall management of the project from engineering, procurement, construction, and closeout.
  • Oversee environmental compliance, permitting, planning, estimating, project controls, bid phase services, constructability reviews, and material management.
  • Maintain clear lines of communication and strong relationships between the project site, project office, and clients.
  • Coordinate directly with equipment vendors for the delivery, installation, and commissioning of major equipment.
  • Drive project schedules, manage scope, and maintain detailed, accurate project cost forecasts and accruals.
  • Develop and implement project policies, procedures, and control systems, while executing the project plan.
  • Work closely with the Project Team to confirm deliverables and services meet client satisfaction.
  • Report regularly to the Lead Project Manager on construction progress, cost/schedule metrics, procurement issues, safety or environmental concerns, and design questions.

Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement).
  • A minimum of 10+ years of relevant project management experience in the construction industry.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control, and project management software is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills alongside strong organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and deep attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle large volumes of work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to meet the company's driving requirements.
