Job description

ERM is hiring a Health & Safety Manager in Elkhart, IN. In this critical role, you will be responsible for establishing, implementing, managing and continuously improving the environment, health and safety programs for the facility. The H&S Manager will have broad knowledge of H&S compliance programs and, where required, H&S specialty areas including Industrial Safety, Occupational Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Risk Management, and Process Safety. This role will provide guidance in managing budgets to support outside services and operating expenses. The role includes strategic H&S planning as well as a tactical role for site-wide H&S systems, H&S regulations, and best practices. This is a full-time (40 hours/week), limited-term role for a duration of 4 months, renewable.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in safety, occupational health, engineering, or related degree preferred.

  • 5 years relevant experience in H&S within a manufacturing environment.

  • Professional safety certification is a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide detailed regulatory interpretation of federal and state OSHA regulations.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.

For theHealth & Safety Managerposition, theanticipatedannual base pay is$103,800-$130,900 (USD). Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. In some cases, pay may fall outside this range. This role may be eligible for bonus paysubject to the sole discretion of ERM and its policies and procedures(casual and fixed term/flex force employees arenot bonuseligible).
