Job Summary:
IXL Learning is a leading EdTech company dedicated to creating personalized learning products for millions of users globally. They are seeking a Customer Data Specialist to support key accounts by providing data-driven insights and custom reports that optimize IXL's implementation in educational institutions.
Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with Sales, Customer Success, Professional Learning, Research, and Marketing teams to understand reporting needs and prioritize requests effectively
• Translate complex stakeholder requests into accurate, well-structured reports and visualizations that illuminate IXL usage, student growth, and overall progress
• Develop a deep understanding of IXL's databases and proactively identify opportunities to refine and improve processes for data reporting
• Collaborate with Engineering on intricate data requests, escalating and problem-solving effectively to deliver accurate outputs
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, data analytics, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in a similar role (e.g., data analyst, data-driven customer success, or marketing analytics)
• Proven analytical skills, including the ability to translate complex data requests into clear reports and visualizations
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; experience with Python (pandas, numpy, matplotlib) is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally
• Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage a queue of requests independently and make sound decisions aligned with the team and company needs
• Experience managing confidential customer data
