Job Description:
Lead and disseminate research that aims to optimize, shape and advance science. Develop and execute the research agenda for the health system. Facilitate, collaborate, and direct research design, analysis and writing efforts with clinician partners and external collaborators. Responsible for the dissemination of research activity and findings to both internal and external audiences. Provide leadership for research study teams, oversight for day-to-day research operations, mentors research scientists and clinician research partners, and oversees research staff/students.
Principle Responsibilities
  • General Duties.
    • Provide operational and scientific expertise for research processes.
    • Partner with senior leadership to identify, design and initiate relevant studies.
    • Secure funding.
  • Study design and implementation.
    • Conducts scientific literature review for evidence gap identification.
    • Identify and convene investigator team.
    • Create complete array of study components.
    • Direct Institutional Review Board application.
    • Design clinical trial/study, lead implementation and oversee data collection tools and approach.
    • Direct study-related education and training.
  • Research Analytics.
    • Perform data extracts and oversees use of statistical software.
    • Performs analytics required for dissemination.
    • Directs and oversees analytic work of research staff.
  • Dissemination Activity.
    • Promotes and facilitates dissemination of scientific findings to internal and external community.
    • Directs submission, presents findings and serves as lead author for publications and presentations.
    • Provides writing and editorial support and expertise.
  • Grant writing and funding procurement.
    • Identifies and matches external funding sources with internal priorities.
    • Contributes to grant application.
    • Shepherd grant through application process.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Ph.D./Doctoral level degree (including DNP) in Nursing
  • 7+ years experience in population health research or healthcare related research
  • 7+ years experience in statistical analysis of health care data

Pay Range
Pay Range: $56.48 to $78.15 per hour
The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
