About The Position

  • Lead, oversee, and manage project activities utilizing a comprehensive range of project management methodologies, including traditional/waterfall, agile/lean, and/or hybrid approaches
  • Serve as a Scrum Master for agile projects, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure adherence to Scrum principles and maximize team productivity
  • Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless execution of projects, maintaining focus on delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Implement change management principles throughout the project lifecycle to facilitate smooth transitions and stakeholder acceptance
  • Develop comprehensive project scopes and objectives in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with organizational goals
  • Ensure optimal resource allocation and availability to support project needs, while also performing project time management tasks such as schedule development, activity sequencing, and critical path analysis
  • Generate detailed project documentation, including but not limited to Project Charter, Vision and Scope Statements, logs and registers (Risk Register, RA2ID2, Issues Log, Stakeholder Register), Communication Plan, RACI, Project Reports, Test Management Plans, meeting agendas, meeting minutes, COAs, decision matrixes, etc.
  • Facilitate effective communication and documentation of key meeting discussions and decisions, ensuring salient points are accurately captured and memorialized
  • Utilize appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs, while continuously measuring project performance using relevant systems, tools, and techniques
  • Promptly report and escalate project issues to management as necessary, while also identifying and addressing risks, decisions, dependencies, and assumptions to minimize project disruptions
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with clients and stakeholders, serving as the primary liaison to ensure their needs are understood and met throughout the project lifecycle
  • Conduct thorough risk management activities to identify and mitigate potential project risks, while also establishing and maintaining relationships with third-party vendors
  • Analyze healthcare administration business functions and system capabilities to determine operational objectives, gathering and evaluating information to inform project requirements
  • Document software requirements specifications, including use cases and non-functional requirements, while also facilitating communication between customers and development teams to ensure alignment with end-user needs
  • Construct workflow charts, diagrams, and graphic models to record system requirements, participating in peer reviews to validate requirements and system design adherence
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders regarding test results and changes to end-product requirements, while also conducting ad hoc analyses to investigate operational issues and propose solutions
  • Continuously improve systems by studying current practices, designing modifications, and collaborating with stakeholders to implement enhancements
  • Demonstrate effective listening and communication skills across various organizational roles, conducting comprehensive reviews of workflows, documentation, and user surveys to identify and address business issues
  • Fulfill Scrum Master responsibilities including coaching the team on agile practices, removing impediments, and fostering a collaborative and self-organizing team environment
  • Perform any other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in fulfilling project management and Scrum Master responsibilities

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 10+ years Project Management experience with a strong emphasis on IT/Software Implementation projects
  • Proven track record in IT/Software Implementation projects is essential
  • Expertise in developing comprehensive formal Project Management Plans encompassing all typical management sub-plans associated with project management methodologies including but not limited to scope, cost, schedule, quality, communications, risk, stakeholders, resources, change, and project integration.
  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft Project (Professional or online versions)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing typical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for monitoring and controlling project work, including but not limited to Earned Value, Estimate to Complete, Schedule and Cost Variances, Schedule and Cost Performance Indexes, Budgeted Cost of Work Scheduled, Budgeted Cost of Work Performed, etc.
  • Ability to effectively lead and coach project teams in the development of Work Breakdown Structures and the estimation of work using typical estimation methods such as Analogous Estimating, Parametric Estimating, 3-Point Estimating (or PERT), Expert Judgement, Bottom-Up Estimating, Top-Down Estimating, Comparative Estimating, etc.
  • Active PMP, CSM, and CSPO required
  • Healthcare industry experience required
  • Demonstrated expertise in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) required
  • Bachelors or equivalent experience

Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledgeable and experienced in Azure or AWS.
  • Experience managing security and compliance
  • Knowledge of SOC 2
  • Knowledge of HITRUST, FedRamp/FISMA frameworks
  • Possesses the ability to guide staff in the fundamentals of iterative development, agile software development processes and procedures.
  • Experience Atlassian software, specifically Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and branch strategy.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Experience in Azure or AWS Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Experience with interface engines and establishing interfaces for web applications.
  • Experience with API and Web Development.
