The facility employs just under 500 full time associates in a 5-shift operation, which encompasses 235,000 sq ft. along with 12,000 skus. In addition to the conversion, customizing and packaging activities, abrasives are now a big part of our power tool accessory business. ISO certified, our associates engage in BPS, CIP and 5S . Job Description

This is an hourly role eligible for overtime.

BASIC FUNCTIONS

  • Increase maturity of BPS in LctP by:
    • Providing instruction on BPS topics including Value Stream Design, Standardized Work, Working According to Standards, Shop Floor Management Cycle, 5S, TPM, Daily Leadership Routines, Shopfloor Involvement.
    • Evaluating current manufacturing systems to determine areas of potential improvement.
    • Analyzing data to support system design.
    • Providing support for BPS metrics, auditing, and assessment processes.
    • Moderation/Facilitator/Trainer Skills

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement solutions and best practices plant wide independently, partnering with associates across all functions and levels.
  • Facilitate training sessions such as Working According to Standards (operators and shopfloor leaders), Shop Floor Management Cycle, 5S, TPM, Daily Leadership Routines, Shopfloor Involvement (Tachinbo).
  • Tachinbo - Site Coordinator.
  • SYS-CIP projects' Lessons Learned Site Coordinator.
  • Execute BPS Shopfloor Partner process confirmations.
  • Value Stream Planning support, Shop Floor Management Cycle, leveling and consumption control support.
  • Analyze systematic findings and determine improvements.

SCOPE FACTORS

  • Supports all value streams and departments in plant.
  • Some external interactions: Corporate BPS groups, Supplier network groups.

INTERACTION

  • Interact with all levels at LctP facility.

Qualifications
  • 5 plus years in a lean manufacturing environment - manufacturing/shopfloor experience
  • Understanding of and experience using the Bosch Production System similar lean manufacturing systems and concepts
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are essential
  • Enthusiastic self-starter with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Project planning, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload to meet established targets
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite
