JOB SUMMARY:

Work with Engineers to assist with basic re-design and development efforts of Mechanical, Electrical, Show and/or Ride controls and software systems. They will learn Safety systems for Ride Controls, how to interface with vendors and basic Project Management skills along with Electrical and Mechanical engineering fundamentals.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare, review, and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, reports, procedures, and records to ensure accuracy, compliance, and traceability throughout the project lifecycle
  • Perform and verify engineering calculations to support design, analysis, and implementation of systems in accordance with applicable standards and requirements.
  • Plan, execute, and support factory acceptance tests to verify system functionality, performance, and compliance prior to delivery or installation.
  • Conduct and support site acceptance testing to confirm proper installation, integration, and operational performance at the customer site.
  • Diagnose, analyze, and resolve technical issues during testing, commissioning, and operation, providing root cause analysis and corrective actions as needed.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to manage technical requirements, schedules, deliverables, and issue resolution.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Basic AC/DC electrical knowledge, Autocad, Physics, Calculus, MS Office
  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Junior or above.
  • Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required. 
  • A transcript is required upon application.
PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
  •  Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) knowledge, Programming Skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Preferred majors include: Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, Business Management, or similar.
  • Preferred coursework completed: Themed Entertainment, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.

  • This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
  • Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than April 2027.
  • Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
  • All of our internships are paid, and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable. The Recruiter will provide specific eligibility details.
