Internship Marketing Engineering is an entry-level, temporary position designed for students or recent graduates to gain experience. In contrast, a Marketing Engineer is a full-time professional responsible for integrating marketing strategies with engineering solutions, often requiring more experience and specialized skills. The internship provides foundational exposure, while the marketing engineer role involves strategic decision-making and project leadership.

What can a marketing internship in engineering do?

A marketing internship in engineering provides hands-on experience in promoting engineering products or services, developing marketing strategies, and understanding technical audiences. Interns often assist with market research, content creation, and using tools like CRM software, gaining skills valuable for careers in technical marketing or product management.

Which internship is best for marketing engineering students?

The best internship for marketing engineering students typically involves roles that combine marketing strategies with technical skills, such as data analysis, digital marketing, or marketing automation. Internships at technology companies or marketing agencies that offer hands-on experience with tools like CRM software, analytics platforms, and programming languages like Python or SQL are highly valuable. These opportunities help develop both marketing knowledge and technical proficiency essential for a marketing engineering career.

The L'Oréal USA Summer Internship Program is a paid, 11-week experience. You won't just observe - you'll be fully integrated into a brand marketing team, own real day-to-day responsibilities, and lead your own individual strategic project that you'll pitch directly to senior leadership. Past interns have seen their ideas move from a deck into real-world execution - that's the kind of ownership you'll get here.
Applications reviewed on a rolling basis, August 14 - September 30, 2026. We welcome students of all backgrounds, including race, ethnicity, gender expression, LGBTQ+ status, military status, and disability status, to apply.
Who You Are
  • Ambitious students currently enrolled in a 4-year college or university who are expected to graduate between December 2027- July 2028
  • Trendsetters and innovative thinkers who want to create the beauty that moves the world
  • No prior industry experience is necessary to apply
  • Minimum Requirements:
    • Able to start working full-time starting September 2028 upon graduation with your bachelor's degree
    • Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent, ongoing basis is required. No immigration support/sponsorship offered for this role.
    • Minimum 3.5 GPA
    • Willing to relocate to one of our U.S. internship hubs: Clearwater, FL

Areas of Marketing You Could Work In:
Depending on your brand placement, you may gain hands-on exposure to:
  • Brand Strategy & Consumer Insights - translating consumer data into brand positioning and campaign strategy
  • Content & Creative - developing short-form video, social content, and campaign assets across TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms
  • Influencer & Creator Partnerships - identifying and nurturing authentic creator relationships to extend brand reach
  • Data Analytics & Marketing Technology - working with tools like GA4 and internal dashboards to measure campaign performance and market share
  • Product Innovation & Consumer Usability - supporting new product development from concept to shelf
  • Integrated (360°) Campaign Execution - helping bring multi-channel marketing plans to life across paid, owned, and earned media
  • Competitive & Marketplace Analysis - benchmarking trends and competitor activity to inform brand decisions

(Note: if you're specifically interested in digital marketing/e-commerce, check out our Digital Summer Internship track instead.)
What You'll Do
  • Own day-to-day brand responsibilities - from consumer insights to campaign execution - on one of our 40+ brands
  • Lead your own strategic project from insight to recommendation, presented directly to senior leaders
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Digital, Supply Chain, Finance, R&I, Operations and Sales to see how each function shapes a brand's business
  • Build business acumen by working alongside brand managers in the beauty industry
  • Sharpen your presentation, analytics, leadership, and strategic thinking skills that carry into any career

The Program:
  • This is a paid internship opportunity. Housing assistance is provided on an individual basis based on eligibility per our L'Oréal Relocation Policy.
  • All interns will be paired with a mentor and buddy to help guide you through your internship
