The John Glenn College of Public Affairs seeks to hire a Public Impact Research Manager to lead and coordinate research activities in service to state and local government and community partners on behalf of the college. The research manager will lead and help carry out the college's portfolio of research with the Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA), including technical assistance and applied research projects in partnership with OHFA. The research manager will also coordinate and assist with other college research activities in service to state and local government and community partners as part of the college's efforts to grow and support public impact research. This work includes but is not limited to: serving as the Principal Investigator for OHFA related research activities; coordinating and supervising research assistants, post-doctoral scholars, and research staff to help carry out applied research projects; scoping research and technical assistance activities (funded and unfunded) with government and community partners; recruiting, coordinating, and supporting faculty and other researchers internal and external to the college for community driven research and technical assistance projects; working with the college professional development unit to identify and triage potential applied research and technical assistance projects; working closely with college research administration and operations team to facilitate applied research projects and technical assistance that is aligned with college and university processes and procedures; and tracking and reporting research and technical assistance activities that support the public impact mission of the college.
Job Duties
Lead and help carry out the college's portfolio of research with the Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA), including technical assistance and applied research projects in partnership with OHFA. Serve as the Principal Investigator for OHFA related research activities and coordinate and supervise research assistants, post-doctoral scholars, and research staff to help carry out research and technical assistance for OHFA.
Direct the activities of the Power of Home initiative in coordination with OHFA, including the supervision of staff and oversight of the budget and strategy for the Power of Home.
Scoping research and technical assistance activities (funded and unfunded) with government and community partners; recruiting, coordinating, and supporting faculty and other researchers internal and external to the college for community driven research and technical assistance projects; working with the college professional development unit to identify and triage potential applied research and technical assistance projects
Working closely with college research administration and operations team to facilitate applied research projects and technical assistance that are aligned with college and university processes and procedures; tracking and reporting research and technical assistance activities that support the public impact mission of the college.
Perform other duties as assigned
Additional Information:
This is a one-year term position, renewable annually contingent on funding and performance.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Please note this position follows a hybrid work model, typically requiring 3-5 days per week in the office on the Columbus, Ohio campus, with flexibility depending on role and team needs.
The rate of pay for this position will be $75,700 to $98,900, to be determined by internal equity, budget, and the candidate's education and experience.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 3 years of relevant experience working with state and local housing organizations required, as well as experience conducting and leading large research projects. 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred. Must be proficient with research analysis software including Stata and have quantitative research skills.

PhD preferred
