PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Community Impact Logistics Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations, logistics, and hands-on implementation of The Family Strengthening, Food Distribution program. This position is routinely active and requires physical, on-the-ground involvement in the movement, organization, and distribution of food, supplies, and program materials. The role is responsible for coordinating food pickups and deliveries, loading and unloading supplies, organizing and distributing food and resources to families, supporting inventory management, and setting up and facilitating workshops, events, and program activities. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of resources, services, and community-based programming to youth, families, and community members through direct program support, food distribution activities, event facilitation, and coordination of community resources.

The Community Impact Logistics Coordinator reports directly to the Manager of Community Impact and works in close collaboration with Club Directors, Site Coordinators, and community partners to support food distribution operations and the Family Strengthening Food Distribution program. This position is also responsible for assisting in developing relationships and networking with community partners to strengthen collaboration, expand resources, and enhance program impact. This role requires regular communication and coordination to ensure efficient program implementation, compliance with organizational and grant requirements, and positive experiences for the youth and families served.

KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):

Leadership

  • Responsible for supporting the operation and coordination of food distribution and ensuring high-quality, consistent delivery of food resources that support family stability, youth development, and overall community well-being.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with local organizations to expand access to social and community services and strengthen program impact in alignment with organizational mission and outcomes.
  • Ensure the successful and timely implementation and delivery of food distribution operations across Club sites, supporting safe, organized, and equitable access for members and families.
  • Serve as liaison and contact with food banks and other community organizations to develop and maintain effective logistical partnerships that support Club programming and family engagement efforts.
  • Assist in implementing policies and procedures that meet city, county, state, federal, and grant requirements, as well as internal organizational standards and safety guidelines.
  • Assist in monitoring, collecting, and reporting applicable data to meet grant reporting requirements and support program evaluation and outcome tracking.
  • Manage food distribution sign-ups and coordination of participant participation to ensure equitable access and efficient program flow.
  • Coordinate with community partners to support the successful implementation of healthy lifestyles, family engagement, and community service initiatives aligned with priority outcome areas.
  • Assist in supporting year-round Community Impact meal program implementation, including school districts, Club sites, and housing sites.

Partnership Development

  • Assist in developing and maintaining partnerships with local organizations, Club members, families, community leaders, and other stakeholders to strengthen program impact and community engagement.
  • Support outreach efforts to engage and recruit families for participation in programs and assist in facilitating family engagement meetings as needed.
  • Serve as an advocate for Club members and youth by supporting collaboration with schools, youth-serving organizations, and community nonprofits (including food access partners such as Feeding America, Stater Brothers, Inland Harvest, etc.) to connect families with needed resources and services.

Marketing and Public Relations/Program Outreach

  • Increase visibility of Club programs by sharing schedules, promoting upcoming events, and distributing timely program information to schools, community partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Club leadership in the planning and execution of special events and community engagement activities. Club leadership may include senior leadership, program staff, and site-based leaders responsible for programming and operations.
  • Act as a representative of the Club and speak on behalf of the organization to community groups, by coordinating outreach and speaking engagements.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • May oversee or assist specific programs/activities.
  • Ability to have flexible schedule, some weekends, and alternative hours may be requested for special events.
  • This position may require working at any of our BGCGRR locations.
  • Purchase or approve purchase of supplies and equipment.
  • Will be required to drive a 7 or 10 passenger van or U-Haul
  • Ability to obtain a food handlers certification.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Associates degree preferred, however, experience planning and supervising activities equivalent of 3 years, can be subsidized with a college degree.
  • Demonstrated ability in project and program management.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to recruit, train, manage and motivate people.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

COMMITMENT TO SAFETY:


  • Contribute to an environment of safety through the learning implementation and monitoring of all safety-related best practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote accountability to safety through consistent observation, adherence to all safety rules and practices, and proactive communication.
  • Obtain and maintain Mandated Reporter training and complete annual Child Abuse Prevention training.
  • Complete training and participate in all Emergency Preparedness protocols including drills and communication practices.
  • Valid State Driver License card.
  • Must clear TB, Drug Screen and Fingerprint check.
  • CPR & First Aid Certifications within 90 of hire.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Normal internal office environment with frequent need to travel to club locations within the Inland Empire. Frequent internal contacts with employees throughout the organization required. Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time and not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
