Role Description:Apartments.com is seeking a senior, conceptually driven Senior Art Director/Copywriter who is equally fluent in copy and design to join our creative marketing team in Atlanta - this is a multidisciplinary role ne who thinks in headlines and layouts at the same time - a creative who can write the line and design the page, then move fluidly between the two across a project.

As a member of the marketing team, you'll collaborate with product marketing managers, executives, sales leaders, social media teams, and other subject matter experts to concept and produce campaigns and collateral that grow our brand. You'll own work end to end: the idea, the words, and the visual execution, all in service of one unified brand voice.

You will be responsible for big-picture concepts, marketing copy, high-quality designs, graphics, mock-ups, and layouts for print, video, digital, and interactive - working across internal and external efforts alongside fellow creatives, marketing managers, and senior executives.

This position is 5 days onsite in our Atlanta office.

Responsibilities
  • Champion bringing ideas to life from concept to launchโ€”crafting both the message and the creative to deliver cohesive, high-impact campaigns that connect with audiences and drive results.
  • Develop and evaluate headlines, copy, scripts, sales pitches, and messaging that capture attention, inspire action, and strengthen campaign performance across channels.
  • Design and produce engaging creative assets across digital, social, email, web, video, print collateral, and direct mail, ensuring every touchpoint reflects a best-in-class brand experience.
  • Partner closely with creative leadership, marketers, channel experts, and business stakeholders to turn insights into powerful, conversion-focused marketing campaigns.
  • Create innovative digital advertising concepts and executions across static, video, and immersive experiences tailored to a variety of platforms and audiences.
  • Transform complex ideas into visually compelling presentations that tell a clear story, influence decision-making, and inspire action.
  • Help evolve and champion the brand by creating work that reinforces a consistent and recognizable visual identity and voice across every customer interaction.
  • Collaborate with external partners, agencies, and vendors to bring creative concepts to life across print and digital production.
  • Own the development and delivery of creative assets, ensuring all work is accurate, polished, on-brand, and ready for seamless execution across channels.
  • Contribute ideas, push creative thinking, and continuously explore new ways to elevate the customer experience, strengthen campaign performance, and advance the brand, including but not limited to, market and competitive tracking, consumer trends and housing related insights as well as cross-brand learnings internally by bringing ideas to the team.
  • Keep creative projects moving forward, proactively managing deadlines and delivering high-quality work on time, every time.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree from an accredited, not-for-profit, in person University or College in Design, Marketing or other relevant field.
  • 12+ years of ad agency, marketing department, or design studio experience spanning print, digital, video, and interactive.
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable business results through creative work, including driving engagement, awareness, lead generation, conversion, or other key performance metrics, while maintaining attention to detail and brand standards.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate creative rationale, influence stakeholders, and align teams around a shared vision that is rooted in performance results.
  • Proven experience prioritizing work effectively, balancing competing demands, and allocating resources to maximize business impact and efficiency and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to write compelling marketing copy and design at a high level - a portfolio that shows strong writing and strong design, ideally in the same projects.
  • Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
  • Demonstrated openness to feedback, with a growth mindset and the ability to incorporate constructive input to continuously improve creative work and team performance.
  • Ability to thrive in a results-oriented environment where success is measured by both creative excellence and business impact.
  • Demonstrated track record of championing innovation and translating new ideas into measurable business impact.
  • Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and After Effects.
  • Expert-level understanding of PowerPoint, Keynote, and Google Slides.
  • Experience working with printers, developers, videographers/photographers, and other vendors.
  • A track record of commitment to prior employers.
  • NOTE: This position requires a strong portfolio that demonstrates high-quality creative execution of both copywriting and design across multiple channels and formats. Writing samples must be included in the portfolio.

  • B2B marketing experience.
  • Knowledge or experience in the multifamily industry.
