What are immunodiagnostics?

Immunodiagnostics are laboratory techniques and tests that use the immune system's response to detect and measure substances in the body, such as pathogens, hormones, or antibodies. These tests rely on the specific binding between antigens and antibodies to identify diseases, infections, or health conditions. Common examples include ELISA, rapid diagnostic tests, and immunoassays used in medical laboratories. Immunodiagnostics are widely used for diagnosing infections, monitoring diseases, and guiding treatment decisions.
