Depending on state regulations, they may need certification or training for vaccine administration.

What does an immunizer do?

A typical day for an Immunizer involves preparing vaccines, verifying patient information, administering immunizations according to established protocols, and documenting each vaccination in electronic health records. You’ll likely interact with a diverse range of patients, answer questions about vaccine safety, and address any concerns. Immunizers may work in clinics, retail pharmacies, hospitals, or pop-up vaccination sites, often collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals. The structure can be fast-paced during peak vaccination periods, making strong organizational and communication skills especially valuable.
