Headache Neurologist โ University of California, Davis โ Sacramento, CA
The Department of Neurology at the University of California, Davis is recruiting a Headache Medicine Neurologist for a fullโtime faculty position. The position is open at the Assistant or Associate rank in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor (HSCP) or the Clinical Neurology series; the academic rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Faculty members provide mainly outpatient and minimal inpatient clinical care; teach medical students, residents, and fellows; and provide university/public service. Most clinical responsibilities will focus on neurologic headache and facial pain in the outpatient clinic, with remaining clinical effort consisting of general neurology inpatient attending service. Our outpatient clinic offers excellent nursing, staff, and neuroโspecialty pharmacologic support and is a busy, highโquality operation with all modalities of therapy. The department has close collaborations with Neurological Surgery and Pain Medicine, providing opportunities for translational research.
Basic Qualifications
- MD or DO degree.
- For the Clinical Neurology series: the ability and experience to conduct scholarly/clinical/translational research and a record of publications in peerโreviewed journals.
Additional Qualifications
- Board certified in Neurology by the ABPN.
- Board certified or eligible in Headache Medicine through the UCNS.
- Eligible for a California medical license.
Preferred Qualifications
- For the Clinical Neurology series, evidence of success in obtaining extramural funding and/or administering clinical trials.
