Salary for the employee will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role,internal equity, etc. The salary range presented below is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different employee profiles. However, we encourage employees who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

About the role


We are looking for a Manager, Programs and Portfolio to play a key role within a fast-growing team dedicated to Commercial and Specialty Lines!

Results- and value-driven, you lead delivery in close alignment with the organization's strategy and business priorities. You leverage strong program and project management expertise, combined with a nuanced understanding of business and technology challenges, to influence, mobilize, and foster sustained alignment across multidisciplinary teams.

As the portfolio lead, you consolidate information related to programs and projects and produce clear, reliable, and actionable reporting (status, risks, financials, key metrics) for stakeholders, the executive sponsor, and steering committees. You ensure governance is applied, deliverables meet quality expectations, and objectives are achieved in terms of timelines, budget, and standards. Finally, you coordinate all portfolio activities-from benefits definition to funding oversight-to optimize the value delivered.

What you'll do here:

  • Strategy and benefits:

    • Drive the roadmap and delivery plan aligned with strategy/OKRs.

    • Support prioritization.

    • Contribute to discovery and business cases

    • Track benefits and KPIs at the portfolio level.

  • Governance and planning:

    • Implement appropriate governance and results-oriented executive reporting.

    • Build and maintain an integrated plan (scope, schedule, costs, quality).

    • Ensure IT/business alignment, compliance/auditability, and adherence to standards.

    • Oversee change management with Value Stream PMs.

  • Execution:

    • Orchestrate cross-functional delivery.

    • Manage dependencies, risks, and trade-offs.

    • Manage budgets and capacity.

    • Facilitate ceremonies.

    • Track decisions, risks, and actions.

    • Promote continuous improvement; coach PMs/Leads.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, information systems or any combination of equivalent education and experience.

  • More than 8 years managing complex programs/portfolios with multiple stakeholders and distributed teams.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present to executives (C-level/SVP).

  • Experience leading teams (20+ people) and supervising Project Managers.

  • Proficiency with waterfall, agile, and hybrid approaches; contribution to Agile transformations.

  • PMP required.

  • Insurance experience is considered an asset.

  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.

  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
