About the Role:
As an Accessories Program Engineering Manager, you will lead the execution of the accessory program portfolio, foster cross-functional collaboration, and ensure every product meets the highest standards of performance, quality, and innovation-delivering customer-focused solutions that inspire and succeed. These offerings enhance vehicle appeal, personalization, and functionality, creating excitement and driving profitability. The portfolio includes appearance packages, off-road enhancements, performance upgrades, protection features, storage solutions, and other innovations that elevate the ownership experience.

What You Will Do (Responsibilities):
  • Lead the engineering development of highly profitable accessories portfolios through the execution phase of the VDP (post DSI to SORP).
  • Key accessory contact to program team. Support meeting forums as needed (VAPIR/PET/POPs/VPIT/ CITs).
  • Maintain the program scorecard for engineering deliverables (e.g., Dot Chart) and report program status at SMT meetings during key program milestones.
  • Lead program engineering status reviews.
  • Lead the overall integration of accessories into the production vehicle. (i.e. mass inputs)
  • Drive project approvals through DCRs and DCTA reviews.
  • Input, manage and communicate program workload and PCAR input.
  • Coordinate program, studio and cross-SMT issue escalations.
  • Co-lead developing and managing accessories brand/segment portfolio strategies. (i.e. Clinics )
  • Support workshare and RASIC development for global programs.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
  • BS Degree - Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering functions within GM or equivalent.
  • Previous design / release experience strongly preferred.
  • Good understanding of GVDP
  • Flexibility to work in an evolving process.
  • Process leader - knows how to lead changes to evolving processes.
  • Strong leadership ability. High level of self-motivation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and comfortable presenting/reporting to Senior Leadership
  • Ability to prioritize assignments/projects and multi-task within restricted time constraints.
  • Ability to network and run effective meetings with diverse participants that collaborate cross-functionally and globally to reach consensus.
  • This position requires the legal ability to operate a motor vehicle daily.

  • Master's Degree
  • 3 years of work experience in Accessory Product Development
  • SMT Experience preferred.
