Job description

About Us
TAE Power Solutions (TPS) is the electrification spin-off from TAE Technologies, a leader in nuclear fusion technology. The company is leveraging unique power management technology originally developed for nuclear fusion and applying it in adjacent industries including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and DC Fast Charging for electric vehicles.
About the Role
TPS is scaling fast globally, and our People Operations function needs a builder. The HR Project Manager drives the systems, processes, and projects that make HR run, from our applicant tracking system to immigration process tracking to people reporting. Some of our processes are established and need to be enhanced and standardized; many others need to be built. As an ISO 9001 certified company, documented and controlled processes aren't optional here, they're part of how we operate.
While our HR Generalist supports employees day-to-day, this role builds the infrastructure behind that work. You'll manage your projects with a high degree of autonomy, working under the direction of the Director of People Operations on priorities and approach.
HR Systems & Tools
  • Serve as system administrator for our Applicant Tracking System (ATS): workflows, integrations, user training, and data hygiene
  • Manage and optimize HR technology and vendors, including, but not limited to, our ATS, compensation survey subscriptions and annual survey data submissions, coordinating contracts, renewals, and data privacy/legal reviews in partnership with the Director of People Operations
  • Maintain data integrity across HR systems and build the connective tissue between them

Process Documentation & Improvement
  • Enhance and document existing HR processes, and build new ones where gaps exist in partnership with the Director of People Operations, HR Generalist, and Talent team on recruiting and offer approvals, onboarding/offboarding workflows, immigration checkpoints, compensation cycle logistics
  • Ensure HR process documentation aligns with ISO 9001 quality management standards, including document control and audit readiness
  • Partner with the HR Generalist to standardize and improve the processes they run day-to-day (onboarding, LOAs, and other employee lifecycle administration)
  • Build and maintain an HR knowledge base so managers and employees can self-serve
  • Identify process gaps and drive improvements across a three-country footprint

Immigration Program Operations
  • Own immigration case tracking, timelines, and document coordination in partnership with outside immigration counsel and the Director of People Operations
  • Preserve the internal immigration files and ensure all immigration-related documents are appropriately stored
  • Maintain the recruiter checkpoint process for candidates requiring visa support
  • Keep internal immigration process guidelines current as regulations and case types evolve

HR Programs & Projects
  • Project manage the performance review process: cycle timelines, review templates and system setup, manager reminders, completion tracking, and outcome reporting
  • Own the tracking of HR strategic initiatives: building out and maintaining the tracking system, following up with key initiative owners, and facilitating effective progress sync-ups with the broader HR team
  • Partner with the HR Generalist on the manager training program, providing project management support: scheduling, logistics, completion tracking, and program measurement
  • Support policy rollouts and handbook updates
  • Coordinate cross-functional HR initiatives (engagement surveys, open enrollment logistics, org announcements)

Reporting & Analytics
  • Build recurring HR reporting: headcount, turnover, immigration case status, training completion
  • Prepare monthly reports, presentations, and people analytics to inform leadership decision-making
  • Maintain the compliance calendar (required trainings, postings, filings) including ISO 9001 audit support for HR-owned documentation

Qualifications, Functional Experience & Skills
  • 5+ years in HR operations, HR project management, or a similar systems/process-heavy HR role
  • Demonstrated experience administering and optimizing an ATS or HRIS
  • Strong project management fundamentals: you build timelines, drive stakeholders to deadlines, and close loops without being chased
  • Exceptional documentation skills - you write processes people actually follow
  • Comfort with data: you can build a clean report in Excel/Sheets and spot when numbers don't add up
  • Judgment about what to run with and what to escalate - you keep your leader informed without needing hand-holding
  • Experience in an ISO 9001 or similarly regulated/QMS environment is a plus
  • Experience working with outside counsel or vendors on compliance-sensitive processes is a plus
  • Immigration program coordination experience (H-1B, TN, green card processes) is a strong plus
  • Experience in a multi-country or scaling company environment is a plus

The compensation range for this role is between $95k-120k + Benefits. At TAE Power Solutions, we consider a wide range of factors when making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and job-related knowledge, training; licenses and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements depending on the position offered (non-Sr., Sr., Lead or Manager).
