Fisher Phillips, a premier international labor and employment law firm, is seeking a skilled and experienced Immigration Document Clerk to join our team. In this essential role, you will help ensure the smooth operation of our services, directly supporting our attorneys in delivering exceptional client service and upholding our commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately files all client documents and paperwork in physical and electronic files. Consistently maintains and organizes the file room(s).
  • Identifies and prepares closed files for off-site storage or destruction.
  • Copies and scan immigration petitions for filing with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services ("USCIS").
  • Prepares Federal Express shipping labels, tracks packages to ensure delivery and resolves delivery exception issues with Federal Express.
  • Assists secretaries as needed with overflow typing, proof reading, printing, new matter intakes and copy assistance.
  • Regularly communicates with attorneys and staff regarding confirmations of assignments, status and findings related to assigned projects.
  • Assists in I-9 audits by printing I-9s, supporting documents, and maintaining spreadsheets.
  • Assists in printing documents received via e-mail and uploaded to internal immigration portal.
  • Creates file folders for new matters.
  • Assists attorneys and paralegals with submitting Service Requests to USCIS for petitions that are outside normal processing times.
  • communicates with IT department to set up FTP sites for clients to upload documents securely.
  • Sorts, scans, uploads and distributes mail.
  • Assist attorneys and paralegals with research projects and reports.
  • Maintains supplies for the department.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 of Experience
  • Law Firm experience preferred
  • High School Diploma
  • Technical Skills: Possess basic PC skills; ability to use: phone system including voicemail and conference calling; copier; scanner; fax; and printer; and a working knowledge of time entry systems. Possesses good clerical skills including typing, word processing, mail and contact management, spreadsheets, and presentations. Must be proficient in Outlook, Excel and Adobe.

The hourly rate range for this position is $20.36 - $24.68. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, location, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
