The Workforce Mobility Team is responsible for mobilizing our people virtually, nationally, and globally in support of the firm’s Talent agenda while ensuring the firm’s compliance in moving people across borders. Our focus is creating a positive employee experience for our people while working with our stakeholders to assess & manage the complex compliance requirements of our programs.


What you will do

The Global Mobility Coordinator will provide support on Canadian relocation/immigration cases. They are one of the primary contacts for assignees, transferees, new hires, recruiters, HR and partners/business leaders on Global Mobility and Canadian immigration matters. They would also support and work on various team projects focused on process improvements and efficiencies.

  • As the primary point of contact for relocation/immigration/assignment cases, ensures compliance requirements are met.
  • Arranges various services (internal and external) in accordance with eligibility and business approvals as well as manage exceptions and expectations.
  • Responds to immigration inquiries for all KPMG temporary foreign workers relocating to or within Canada
  • Validates and monitors eligibility for temporary foreign workers to legally be employed with KPMG Canada.
  • Reviews, audits and authorizes payment for all vendor invoices.
  • Manages, audits and authorizes KPMG hires/transferee reimbursements and allowances (i.e. relocation allowances, flight reimbursements).
  • Determines taxability of all mobility benefits; track, report and gross-up in accordance with KPMG tax and CRA policies.
  • Supports on team processes, billing, and adhoc reporting.
  • Participates in and supports team projects and initiatives.

What you bring to the role
  • 1-2 years of experience in Global Mobility or Immigration
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field
  • Experience in corporate Global Mobility programs, Canadian immigration legislation, relocation policy and related benefits an asset
  • Ability to build and maintain trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively in situations involving rapid change, shifting priorities, and/or simultaneous demands
  • Strong analytic and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook skills
  • Handles confidential information professionally and discreetly
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.

This position requires written and oral fluency in English. The successful candidate may be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking colleagues or stakeholders while at KPMG. The successful candidate may be required to create, interpret and/or apply policies, practices, laws and and/or regulations during the regular course of their employment.

KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information

The expected base salary range for this position is $47,000 to $71,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.

KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information 

In British Columbia, the expected base salary range for this position is $47,000 to $71,500 and may be eligible for bonus. The determination of an applicant’s compensation within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition to total compensation, KPMG also offers a comprehensive, competitive Total Rewards program.
