Job description

Butler & Associates, P.A., a fast-paced, high-volume law firm, is looking for a full-time legal assistant in civil litigation.


Working under the supervision of an attorney and with a team of legal assistants, you will keep matters confidential; calendar deadlines; help maintain attorney calendars; draft pleadings; e-file documents; and establish and maintain good working relationships with clients, court personnel, and others. 


This is an in-person position at a convenient office location near Wanamaker Road. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. 


Required skills & qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required, with an Associate or bachelor's degree preferred;
  • Organized and able to prioritize;
  • Able to analyze information and use logic to address work-related issues, problems, or opportunities;
  • Great communication skills, including spelling and grammar, along with email and phone etiquette;
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team;
  • Understand and apply state laws that relate to each file or case;
  • Maintain account confidentiality and private personal information;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, and Adobe PDF; and
  • Typing speed greater than 40 wpm.
