What You Will Do

  • Use a variety of hand tools to remove Burrs, or sharp edges.

  • Perform machine setup and runs on laser marking machines

  • Assembly of components

  • Read, interpret and comprehend, process prints, engineering and quality standards, and other informational drawings and work instructions.

  • Monitor part specific dimensional tolerances while performing the operation & identify non-conforming part features

  • Maintain accurate documentation and system inputs (shop traveler, labor charging, production tracking software, inspection results, etc.)

  • Identify and report process inefficiencies, machine issues, and improvement opportunities

  • Follow work priorities to accomplish production goals

  • Can handle contact with coolants, cleaning fluids, and oils (petroleum based products) and chemical vapors from products during the normal manufacturing

  • Obtain and maintain required Inspection Certification(s)

  • Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned

  • 3rd shift: Sunday – Thursday, 11:00 pm – 07:00 am

What You Will Learn

  • Precision deburring process to print specifications.

  • Set-up and operation of laser markers

  • Reading/interpreting GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)

  • Cross-functional collaboration through various types of manufacturing and processes.

  • Gain experience with a variety of inspection equipment.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires HS diploma or equivalent or in the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience.

  • Basic math skills, including adding and subtracting decimals

  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn and use multiple computer applications (including email, internet, and other job-specific applications).

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with measurement equipment, i.e. gauges, calipers, etc.

  • Experience with basic hand tools.

  • Experience reading, interpreting, and following blueprints.
