Job description

JOB SUMMARY:
Overseeing the day-to-day retail operations in the Warehouse of Habitat’s ReStore in Davidson County. Responsible for the management, effective planning and implementation of all store processes including but not limited to warehouse storage and pricing processes, control expenses and target net profits. Ensure a safe working environment while providing for the protection of company assets and team. Must conduct all activities in accordance with Habitat principles
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:
Ensuring that all procedures for receiving and shipping are followed correctly
Manage receiving and inventory of all incoming materials physically in warehouse and outside perimeter
Record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory
Manage warehouse sales associates, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment, including forklift certifications
Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with ReStore Manager
Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve employee safety, retention and meet weekly/annual sales/stock goals for warehouse sales associates
Communicate with Showroom Manager and Receiving team to ensure products are priced and placed and cleaned in a consistent and timely manner before moved to the showroom
Maintain warehouse organization, stock rotation, and cleanliness
Ensure current Warehouse volunteer project needs are communicated to volunteer coordinator in advance
Work with ReStore Manager and Showroom Manager to establish pricing guidelines and training for all staff assigned to warehouse
Work closely with Donation Coordinator and Director of Deconstruction to plan for all incoming donations and deconstructions
Support Receiving Lead for daily operations of drop-offs and pick-ups.
Complete daily recap with ReStore Manager, Showroom Manager, Volunteer Coordinator and ReStore Administrator
Monitor designated staff’s punctuality and attendance, and work with the ReStore Manager on coaching and counseling the staff if necessary.
Overseeing volunteers assigned to the warehouse.
Other duties as assigned by management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Overall management responsibility for the Warehouse
Key participant in agency planning activities related to growth of ReStore operations.
Must have the ability to effectively and patiently communicate with others
Must have a valid State of Tennessee driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle of a size up to and including trucks with a box/bed length up to 26 feet in length.
Regular and reliable attendance required.
Available to volunteer at build site during the year.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree or combination of education and equivalent retail experience required.
Minimum 4 years’ experience in retail industry, profit center management, and showroom and warehouse operations required.
Commitment to Habitat’s housing ministry goals and mission.

Fosters cooperation and collaboration.
A valid drivers License and a clean driving record for insurance purposes
Interacts with staff tactfully yet directly and maintains an open forum of exchange.
Must have the ability and desire to work respectfully with people of all cultures, languages, national origins, races, ethnic backgrounds, religions, classes, immigration statuses, sexual orientations, gender identity and expressions, ages, mental or physical abilities, and other diversity factors. Must conduct all activities in accordance with Habitat principles.
TIME REQUIRMENTS:
40+ hours per week (exempt); ReStore operating hours are Tuesday - Saturday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.
