Job description

What You'll Do

Under the general direction of the North America HR Immigration Director, you will be responsible for the development and management of the immigration programs across our North America region, including Canada, Mexico, and Costa Rica. You will also provide support for U.S. immigration functions. You will work closely with the North America Immigration team, the North America Compliance team more broadly, local office HR teams, foreign nationals in need of immigration services, and external immigration legal counsel. This will include:

  • Structured program design and strategic thinking โ€” you will be supporting the development of our growing North America regional immigration team, helping to bring scalable frameworks, strengthen international expertise and bring clear structure and forwardโ€‘looking guidance as the function continues to grow
  • Building relationships โ€“ strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. Our team liaises with everyone from our entryโ€‘level employees to senior leadership; this role requires you have a strong ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with members at all levels of the organization.
  • Balancing a diverse set of work โ€“ you will manage many different processes with multiple steps and various deadlines. This role necessitates that youโ€™re able to drive responsibilities autonomously and balance competing priorities.
  • Attention to detail โ€“ the work we do is very important and requires a unique amount of thoughtful engagement and precision. Having an eye for accuracy and detail is key.
  • People development and collaboration โ€“ as a Manager, BCG values a strong culture of mentorship and development. As you build relationships across the Immigration team, you will contribute to developing colleagues through coaching, knowledge sharing, and thoughtful collaboration. Over time, this role may also provide opportunities for broader people leadership as our regional function continues to grow.
What You'll Bring
  • A bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years of experience, with a solid understanding of U.S., Canadian, Mexican or broad global immigration experience preferred
  • Experience working with Canadian or Mexican immigration is preferred, including understanding different work permit categories, the Canadian permanent residency process and general Mexican immigration knowledge with experience in developing global programs
  • Experience in supporting a variety of complex immigration processes and projects, including experience in U.S. immigration in helping to determine green card strategy through the entire PERM lifecycle; messaging immigration strategies to foreign nationals and stakeholders
  • Solid working knowledge of nonโ€‘immigrant employmentโ€‘based U.S. immigration categories like Hโ€‘1Bs, Lโ€‘1s, TNs, and student work authorization
  • Experience in partnering with external vendors to develop effective ways of working and engagement models to provide the best employee experience
  • Familiarity with Workday preferred
  • The ability to perform successfully in a fastโ€‘paced, global, intellectually intense, serviceโ€‘oriented environment, keeping with BCGโ€™s values and culture
Who You'll Work With

Youโ€™ll sit on our North America Immigration team with responsibilities across all of our North America region including the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Costa Rica. Our team was created over a decade ago but has doubled in size in just the last few years! The team is made up of nine individuals, sitting in Boston.

Format

This role is designed for those who thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment and is not intended for remote or virtual work.

Compensation

Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, retirement contribution, and a market leading benefits package described below.

The base salary range for this role is $112,000 - $138,000.

This is an estimated range and specific base salaries within the range depend on factors such as office location, experience, and skill set. It is not common for new BCG employees to be hired at the highโ€‘end of the salary range. BCG regularly reviews its ranges to ensure market competitiveness.

In addition to your base salary, your total compensation will include a discretionary bonus of up to 16% and a generous retirement contribution that starts at 5% and moves to 10% after 2 years.
