The Law Office of Abhisha Parikh is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Immigration Legal Assistant to join our dynamic team in Edison, New Jersey. This role is ideal for someone with experience reviewing immigration filings and supporting attorneys and paralegals in a fast-paced legal environment.

As an Immigration Legal Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping our team provide exceptional service to clients navigating complex immigration matters. We are looking for a motivated professional who thrives on organization, accuracy, and client-focused support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review immigration intake forms for accuracy and completeness
  • Review and organize supporting documentation for immigration filings
  • Assist attorneys and paralegals with case preparation and file management
  • Draft client declarations and other supporting legal documents
  • Manage office communications, including answering phone calls and responding to emails
  • Schedule meetings, consultations, and appointments
  • Track case deadlines and ensure timely follow-up on pending matters
  • Communicate with clients, government agencies, and other legal offices as needed
  • Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents and correspondence
  • Maintain accurate records within legal case management systems
