Job description

Valiant Integrated Services is seeking an experienced FA-18EF aviator to join our courseware development team as a Revision and Maintenance SME (Full Time) for Strike Fighter Weapons School Atlantic F/A-18 Program. In this role, you'll transform tactical expertise into high-impact training content that drives mission readiness. Join a team dedicated to delivering immersive, precise, and future-ready aviation instruction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for their aircraft by providing technical content for courseware.
  • Monitor Stan Eval trends and support revisions in courseware.
  • Monitor courseware currency in assigned academic areas of responsibility.
  • Develop courseware/monitor courseware currency for their assigned aircraft and assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Provide content input for all lesson revisions for which they are the primary SME.
  • Coordinate lesson revision input with other I/SMEs.
  • Identify areas of instruction requiring immediate attention.
  • Review all aircraft and operations-related publications for updated information to be incorporated into courseware and training materials.
  • Function as a member of a courseware development team, working directly with Instructional System Designers, Courseware Development Specialists, and Subject Matter Experts, to take input from stakeholders and transform it into fully functioning, immersive online courseware.
  • Conduct all other duties as directed/assigned in the Statement of Work and/or Contract.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SALARY RANGE: Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications.
EXPERIENCE:
  • Demonstrate proficiency with MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) as well as applicable software used for graphic design and video editing.
  • Must be able to interface effectively with customers, management, and technical staff.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Must always present a professional appearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • NATOPS-qualified aircrew member (Pilot or Electronic Warfare Officer) in the F/A-18E/F aircraft within the past 5 years, with a minimum of one deployed fleet tour and at least 500 flight hours in the F/A-18E/F.
  • Highly Desirable: Graduate of the Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN).
  • Additional Skills: Experience in graphic design and/or visual media is recommended.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees.
  • Requires mental alertness and acute concentration for long periods of time during training scenarios.
