NOW HIRING EXPERIENCED BARTENDERS!
at
Harry's Savoy Grill
POSITION SUMMARY:
Build bar clientele and provide professional, friendly service in accordance with our standards. Responsible for the set-up, maintenance and operation of the bar to provide an experience that exceeds guest expectations. Takes drink orders from bar guests and from guests of wait staff. Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with standard recipes. Mixes ingredients for cocktails. Serves beverages and food to bar guests. Washes and sterilizes glassware, prepares garnishes and mixers for drinks. Takes food orders from bar guests and demonstrates a knowledge of the menu. Rings drink and food orders into the POS and processes payments accurately.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintains proper and adequate set-up and breakdown of the bar on a daily basis.
  • Maintains bar cleanliness.
  • Possesses a working knowledge of products and brands offered at the bar.
  • Understands craft and culinary cocktails to create seasonal offerings.
  • Adheres to responsible alcohol service.
  • Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promotes and documents orders for drinks. Receives drink orders from guests and wait staff.
  • Mixes, garnishes and presents alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for guests of bar and dining rooms following standard recipes and according to standard pour control policy. Serves wine and bottled beer or draws draught beer from kegs.
  • Takes food orders from bar guests. Demonstrates knowledge of menu items. Inputs the order into Point of Sale computer to inform the kitchen of special requests/needs.
  • Processes guests’ beverage and food orders to ensure all items are prepared properly and on a timely basis.
  • Inputs beverage and food orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest and processes payment.
  • Observes guests to ensure that they are satisfied with the beverage, food and service, to respond to any additional requests and to determine when the guest is finished.
  • Responsible for slicing and pitting fruits or vegetables for garnishing drinks. Stores all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
  • Washes and sterilizes glassware. Performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to health standards.
  • Assist with monthly inventory.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Previous bartending experience is required, preferably in a fast-paced upscale dining establishment with high food volume.
  • Strong food and beverage knowledge to include beer, wine and spirits and be familiar with standard drink recipes.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Delaware Alcohol amp; Tobacco Enforcement Alcohol Beverage Server Training Certification.
  • Must be well-organized, outgoing and friendly.
  • Must possess the ability to work with a computer system for the purpose of ordering and processing payments.
  • Must have ability to remain stationary for long periods of time of up to eight (8) hours in length. Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be 21+ years old
