Position Overview

Immediate Cure Mental and Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. This full-time position allows for remote work while providing vital mental health services and support to individuals in need. The successful candidate will hold a current license as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT and will be instrumental in helping clients navigate their recovery from addiction and co-occurring mental health issues.

About the Organization

Our mission is to empower individuals on their recovery journey through comprehensive, client-centered care. We boast a team of dedicated professionals who are committed to fostering healing and growth in a safe and therapeutic environment.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, offering flexibility to accommodate a work-life balance that best suits you. Our outpatient office setting promotes a collaborative approach where you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of therapists, psychiatrists, and addiction specialists. We pride ourselves on maintaining a nurturing and supportive culture, ensuring that each team member's voice is heard and valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to evaluate clients' psychological and substance abuse history using standardized tools.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that not only address addiction but also underlying mental health concerns, leveraging evidence-based approaches.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, engaging clients in therapeutic discussions and recovery-oriented activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to provide integrated care, ensuring holistic support for each client's unique situation.
  • Educate and involve clients' families in the treatment process, enhancing their understanding of addiction and recovery dynamics.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele consists of individuals dealing with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues. We serve a diverse population ranging from young adults to older adults, all seeking to overcome challenges related to addiction. Our approach is trauma-informed, recognizing the complexities of addiction and mental health intersectionality.

Qualifications
  • Valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or PsyD in New York.
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing addiction counseling and working with diverse client backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of and proficiency in evidence-based practices for managing substance use and co-occurring disorders.
  • Strong therapeutic skills combined with an empathetic approach to motivate and empower clients.
  • Excellent communication skills capable of building a rapport with clients and collaborating effectively with team members.
Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of direct clinical experience in mental health counseling is required, additional experience with specific populations such as adolescents or trauma-impacted individuals is highly valued. Specialized training in addiction therapy methodologies or certifications reflect positively on a candidate’s qualifications.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation package for this role ranges between USD 80,000 and 100,000 per year, contingent upon experience and credentials. Employees will benefit from a comprehensive benefits package that includes healthcare insurance, a retirement plan, paid time off, and opportunities for continuing education in the mental health and addiction counseling fields.
