Job description

THE ROLE

This is a GC-side MEPFP PM position, not sub-side coordination. You will own the full MEPFP scope across all four disciplines from trade buyout and descoping through submittal management, procurement, and BIM gatekeeping. The project is active and the need is immediate.


Core Responsibilities

  • Lead buyout and descoping across all four MEPFP trades, including scope leveling meetings and subcontract review
  • Own the full submittal log and RFI workflow across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection
  • Drive procurement and track material lead times, identifying critical path risks before they surface in the field
  • Serve as BIM coordination gatekeeper, managing clash detection and coordination with a third-party modeling team
  • Hold MEPFP subs accountable to schedule, quality, and scope compliance without losing the working relationship
  • Run OAC meetings, produce production updates, and maintain full project documentation in Procore


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR


  • 5 to 10 years of construction project management experience, GC or CM-side
  • Four-discipline MEPFP fluency across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection
  • Experience owning a submittal log and RFI workflow from the GC side, not just reviewing
  • Direct experience in buyout and descoping meetings across MEPFP trades
  • Navisworks working knowledge or equivalent BIM coordination experience
  • Procore proficiency, Bluebeam standard


Preferred

  • Hotel, healthcare, life sciences, or higher-ed project background where MEP complexity is high
  • Revit familiarity (do not need to model, need to manage the process)
  • PMP or equivalent project management credential
  • History running multiple concurrent scopes or projects


WHO THIS IS NOT FOR

  • Sub-side PMs who have only run electrical or mechanical scopes independently
  • Field foremen who have moved into PM without GC-level submittal or buyout experience
  • Candidates who have not owned a submittal log or sat in buyout meetings from the owner or GC side
