Position Overview
This role is responsible for leading major electrical construction initiatives from early planning through final completion. The Project Manager will oversee complex projects, support operational performance goals, manage high-level stakeholder relationships, and provide leadership to project teams across multiple phases of execution. This position also plays a key role in mentoring team members and contributing to long-term business growth initiatives.
Core Responsibilities
* Manage and oversee all phases of large-scale electrical construction projects, including preconstruction, execution, and project closeout.
* Develop and maintain project budgets, staffing plans, schedules, and resource strategies for high-value projects.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, vendors, and senior stakeholders.
* Provide guidance and technical support to resolve project issues, operational risks, and scheduling challenges.
* Support business development activities through relationship building, networking, and client engagement efforts.
* Mentor and guide junior project management staff while supporting team development and performance growth.
* Review project financials, approve expenditures, and manage contract modifications and change requests.
* Ensure projects remain compliant with company procedures, safety requirements, and quality expectations.
* Deliver regular project updates, forecasting, and operational reporting to senior leadership.
* Promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across project teams.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred. Equivalent industry experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
* 8+ years of progressively responsible project management experience within electrical construction or related industries.
* Strong understanding of project controls, budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, Bluebeam, and related construction/project management software platforms.
* Experience with ERP or financial management systems such as Vista or Spectrum preferred.
* Demonstrated success managing large, technically complex construction projects.
* Strong communication, leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
* Ability to travel as needed in support of project and client requirements (approximately 40-50%).
