Project Manager (PS), Survey - Bentonville, AR
Halff has an immediate opening for a Survey Project Manager who is a Professional Surveyor for our Bentonville, AR office. The ideal candidate would bring at least 1-2 years of management experience in the Survey industry. Previous experience managing large-scale, land survey projects, including overseeing field crews and multiple survey technicians and other registered surveyors is highly desired. What you will do:
  • This role will be responsible for managing and overseeing a wide variety of projects for the Survey practice.
  • This position requires strong design and project management experience and knowledge of working with local entities.
  • Manage design and plan production as well as manage clients and supervise technical staff through workshare opportunities with various practices and offices at Halff.
  • This position shall value and be active in professional organizations that benefit the Survey Industry.
  • Develop a network of municipal clients and teaming partners.
  • Develop and manage project scope, personnel, budgets, schedules and collaborate with clients and stakeholders.
  • Oversee project's financial health, report issues, and come up with solutions.
  • Provide support to business development efforts to guide and lead each phase of the process in preparation of proposals, while emphasizing quality outcomes.
  • Exceptional ability to lead by example in a professional, productive and established work environment.
  • Assist with the operational flow for a survey team to collaboratively prioritize projects of all sizes and levels of complexities.
  • Report on project progress and budgets.
  • Work with the Survey Team Leader and Operations Managers in business development activities.

What you will need:
  • 1-2+ years of demonstrated management experience in the Survey industry.
  • PS in the state of Arkansas, preferred, or could become licensed in Arkansas within a year.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale, land survey projects, including overseeing field crews and multiple survey technicians and other registered surveyors.
  • Boundary and Right of Way resolution.
  • Preparation of proposals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with internal and external clients for the purpose of being concise, clear, and conveying details for project deliverables in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Ability to work autonomously, mentor and professionally develop Survey Technicians and field crew members.
  • Exceptional ability and practical experience to successfully manage projects, including developing scope of work, schedule and fee while adhering to established guidelines.
  • Technical understanding and proficiencies with Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D.
  • Experience with ARDOT, Public Works, Energy, Water & Wastewater, and/or Land Development projects, is ideal.
  • Hands-on experience with various municipalities in the Northwest Arkansas market.
