What is an immediate part time?

An Immediate Part Time job is a position that requires a new hire to start working as soon as possible while working fewer hours than a full-time employee. These roles typically offer flexible schedules and may include evening, weekend, or shift work. They can be found in various industries like retail, customer service, healthcare, and gig work. Immediate Part Time jobs are ideal for those looking for quick employment opportunities with fewer hours.

What kind of scheduling flexibility can I expect in an immediate part time position?

Immediate Part Time roles are designed to fill urgent staffing needs, so schedules may involve short notice and a mix of shifts, including evenings or weekends. While some employers offer the ability to request preferred hours, a willingness to be available for a variety of time slots is typically valued. Communication with your manager about your availability can help match you to open shifts quickly. Flexibility is especially important in these roles to meet business demands and maximize your hours. If you need a specific schedule, it’s best to discuss your requirements during the application process.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in an immediate part time position?

To thrive in an Immediate Part Time role, you need reliability, flexibility with scheduling, and basic proficiency in the core duties relevant to the employer (such as customer service, office assistance, or retail tasks). Familiarity with point-of-sale systems, standard office software, or industry-specific tools may be required depending on the position. Strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and adaptability help candidates excel in fast-changing or varied shifts. These qualities ensure Immediate Part Time employees can quickly integrate into teams and deliver consistent performance on short notice.

About the Role

Are you an experienced carpenter or master craftsperson looking for flexible, part-time work with top-tier pay? We are seeking a Part-Time Senior Field Service Technician to tackle a variety of residential and light commercial repairs, maintenance tasks, and small remodeling projects across our local area.

This position is perfect for a seasoned pro who wants to keep their hands in the trade, work independently, and enjoy steady, predictable hours without the stress of managing a business, running a crew, or working full-time weeks.

What You'll Do

  • Execute Multi-Trade Projects: Perform high-quality home repairs, finish carpentry, door/window adjustments, drywall repairs, tile fixes, and light fixture updates.
  • Operate Autonomously: Drive directly to job sites, manage your workday efficiently, and complete jobs independently from start to finish.

  • Maintain High Standards: Ensure clean, safe job sites and properly care for company equipment and materials.

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ Years of Multi-Trade Experience: Proven expertise as a lead carpenter, senior repair technician, or master handyman.
  • Self-Motivated & Independent: Ability to troubleshoot on the fly and deliver top-quality workmanship without on-site supervision.
  • Professional Communication: Polite, customer-focused, and comfortable talking directly with homeowners.
  • Tools & Licensing: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (insurable) and your own set of professional-grade hand and power tools.
  • Physical Capability: Able to lift up to 50 lbs independently and work comfortably overhead or on ladders.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Part-Time Pay: $25.00 - $38.00 / hour (commensurate with experience and productivity).
  • Flexible Part-Time Schedule: Day shifts tailored to agreed part-time hours (NO mandatory weekends or evenings).
  • Company Vehicle Provided: Access to a fully equipped company service van during working hours (gas and maintenance covered).
  • Uniforms & Support: Company-provided apparel, office scheduling support, and steady local jobs ready for you.
