Job description

The Basilica of Saint Mary's of the Immaculate Conception, in Norfolk Virginia is seeking a Director of Formation.

The Director of Formation is responsible for the development, coordination, supervision, and execution of the Basilica's faith formation ministries designed to engage, educate, and empower adults and children (through 5th grade). The Director also oversees the necessary preparations for the Sacraments of Baptism, First Reconciliation, First Communion, and those entering the Church through the OCIA.

This position is regular, part-time (25 hours a week). The Director is to maintain a presence in the office, as well as a frequent presence at weekend liturgies. The Director's work schedule and weekly hours may be reviewed from time to time.
