Looking for a new career in manufacturing? IMCO Carbide Tool in Perrysburg, Ohio is hiring!!

We currently have an opening in our Manufacturing department for a Tool Wash & Honing Tech. No experience required, WE WILL TRAIN THE RIGHT PERSON. Mechanical aptitude, basic math skills, and a desire to work are necessary qualities.

Tool Wash & Honing Tech - Essential Duties

The primary responsibilities of the IMCO Tool Wash & Honing Tech are to ensure that tools are honed and washed according to the processes and quality levels defined. The Tool Wash & Honing Tech will perform other duties as assigned and in support of the Production or Coating Departments.

Additional duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to transportation of tool trays on carts to predetermined areas, visual inspections, providing on-the-job training or instruction to others. As well as, other duties as requested.

IMCO employees are expected to adhere to all Safety Policies and Procedures. IMCO's primary safety goal is that all of our employees return home at the end of their workday without injury and without illness.

Experience & Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions, as well as job travelers
  • Adequate mathematic skills - a math test will be given.
  • Adequate communication skills that allow for proper information exchange (receiving and disseminating information).

This position requires the ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. This position requires regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards. Other requirements are:

  • Must be able to ambulate safely in a manufacturing environment, while pushing a tool cart.
  • Must have flexibility of hands and fingers in order to handle tools and tool trays safely.
  • Vision abilities required include close and distance vision, ability to differentiate colors on gages and blueprints, and depth perception.
  • Ability to lift and carry items of varying weight not to exceed 45 lbs.

Wage & Schedules

We have a position available on the following shift, with a minimum base rate of $17.00/hour.

1st Shift, Monday - Thursday, 6:45 AM - 5:15 PM

Working Conditions:

The Tool Wash & Honing Tech will work in a variety of settings, including the following: A tool wash area where there could be contact with cleaners, water, residual oils or dusts. A production area where there will be contact with natural and synthetic oils, as well as various grinding dusts. Both areas have moderate noise levels and climate control.
